FAQ
What if I think I already know the reason behind my problems/issues?
This is completely NORMAL!
A Lot of people believe and think that they know the “why”, of why, they act a certain way, when really it is only a fraction of what is really happening in your Subconscious mind. “YOU DON’T KNOW, WHAT YOU DON’T KNOW, TILL YOU TRULY KNOW” The part you think you know, is in reality usually only part of a belief, habit and pattern formed in infancy. That belief has compounded over the years and it is in actuality why nothing is getting better with regular therapy or other singular modalities or spiritual practices. Not one alone can help but 5+ methods combined into one can.
Buried deep in your subconscious is the start of the problem, but your loving brilliant mind has protected you from seeing and feeling the real truth. (science has proven, memory alters what really happened with every recall in the conscious mind, but not in the subconscious)
The subconscious mind communicates in different ways, often presenting memories, dreams, or imaginative visuals. While many images reflect past events, some—particularly those from infancy—might appear as PHYSICAL SENSATIONS or symbolic representations. Trust that these experiences still hold valuable insights! I just assist you to finally find the missing pieces to the puzzle.
What if I am afraid of being hypnotized?
There’s no need to fear hypnosis—it’s a natural state you enter multiple times a day. Like getting deeply involved in a movie or daydreaming. What you may actually be afraid of is the idea of losing control, which often stems from concerns about safety. If you ever feel uneasy, feel free to reach out! I offer a FREE mini-hypnosis recording to help you get more comfortable with the process.
Why do we need hypnosis for RTT to be effective?
I say it this way sometimes…. When we enter hypnosis we put the annoying know-it-all controlling guard part of ourselves to sleep so we can get to the gatekeeper of records in the back room in our minds. That gatekeeper holds the key to the door, to the back room with all the files from your life’s journey… The originals are there, but have been put back there to let new information in, however, sometimes that new imputed information is wrong or misinterpreted, the gate keep tries to protect us or misfiles the originals and we have to get back in the records room to see the original hard copy facts.
Who should not enter an RTT session?
RTT is not recommended for individuals with epilepsy or psychosis (such as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, NPD Narcissistic personality disorder(this may be an exception, but rarely etc) It’s important to consult with a healthcare professional before engaging in any therapeutic practice if you have these conditions.
Does RTT/hypnotherapy work online?
Yes! I have conducted numerous hypnotherapy sessions all over the world online!! Via Zoom and Google Meet, and they are just as effective as in-person sessions. I do both online and in-person, I am Located in Whitby just east of Toronto so if you are located in the Toronto GTA Ontario, Canada I would love to do it in person. One of the most important factors for successful hypnotherapy is feeling relaxed and comfortable—and many people find it easier to achieve this in the comfort of their own home.
What does being in hypnosis (RTT) feel like?
The experience of hypnosis varies from person to person. A hypnotic state is a natural, relaxed state that we all enter at times—it’s often associated with alpha brainwaves or the “flow” state. Hypnosis is the Theta brain state. For example, you’re in a hypnotic state when daydreaming or when you’re so deeply focused on something that you tune out your surroundings. It’s important not to expect to feel “hypnotized” in the way many people mistakenly imagine. Contrary to popular belief, being in hypnosis does not mean losing control or awareness—it’s quite the opposite! If you have ever meditated and feel present but also like you are asleep and dreaming, and you are aware but open to suggestions from a source from within or guidance from outside. Then that is what it feels like.
What if I get "stuck" in hypnosis?
It is absolutely IMPOSSIBLE to get stuck in hypnosis. You are always in control and fully aware of your surroundings. Which makes it so fascinating and amazing! Following my gentle instructions will help you feel completely at ease. Yes, even during stage hypnosis, people will respond to emergencies, such as a fire or other dangers. As part of the act they will make the audience believe they have full control but no, the person always does. Let’s face it, if we as hypnotherapists could do what stage hypnosis leads people to believe then we would all be rich, by getting you to transfer money into our accounts a few times a month. LOL that just doesn’t happen. Or I would not be working. The only time you might appear “stuck” is if you become so relaxed that you drift into sleep. If that happens, you’ll wake up naturally, just as you would after any other nap.
What if I feel that I am not hypnotized and that I have some drifting thoughts?
The hypnotic state is simply a state of relaxation, comfort, and letting go. As long as you stay RELAXED, you’re already in a hypnotic state. It’s perfectly NORMAL for your thoughts to drift, I will be with you to guide you in the direction we need to go in. Just relax, trust the process, Trust in me as your guide and allow yourself to gain valuable insights that will help to positively transform the way you are currently seeing the issue.
How many sessions do I need?
RTT is a highly effective method, with most issues resolving within just one to three sessions. It all depends on the type of issue and/or the level of trauma. If you are needing to just get past a goal limitation that is generally 1 session. However, long-term challenges involving deep-rooted traumas may require more sessions. While I have general guidelines for addressing different issues, the number of sessions ultimately depends on your unique situation. Beyond the complexity of the issue, your commitment and openness to change play a crucial role in achieving lasting results!
When will I start to see improvements in my issues?
Change can happen in three ways. The first is immediate, where you see results right away. The second is incremental, where progress unfolds gradually over time. The third is retroactive, where change isn’t obvious at first, but one day, you look back and realize just how far you’ve come. While we all hope for immediate results, what matters most is your commitment to change. The more you listen to the bespoke hypnosis i create for you after the session and the more you are open to meditation, breathwork, somatic healing, improving health diet, exercise, vitamin intake and general open mindedness to heal and improve life during the 21 days after the session and beyond, the fast you will see results. We all want instant and I guarantee you will feel an instant shift but remember it is a healing journey not a sprint the deeper the issue is ingrained. The Mind takes time to regrow new wires and circuits. We are not computers that you can run an antivirus on or add some ram or a new hard drive too. We get this one human body in this life so we have to take care of it properly!! Trust the process and allow God, spirit, the Universe whatever you want to see it as to work its miracles in your life!

What makes RTT unique?
Rapid Transformational Therapy (RTT®) Founded by Marisa Peer, is a distinct form of hypnotherapy that combines the most effective principles of Hypnosis, Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP), Psychotherapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Developed by Marisa Peer, Britain’s top hypnotherapist with over 30 years of experience, RTT delivers exceptional results by creating a transformative experience tailored to each individual.
Hypnosis, in its essence, is a state of deep relaxation. While the term “hypnosis” was introduced by a Scottish surgeon in the 1800s, the use of trance-like states for reducing emotional or physical pain dates back thousands of years. Today, hypnosis is a widely accepted therapeutic method in many hospitals and clinics.
Unlike traditional hypnotherapy, RTT doesn’t focus solely on positive reinforcement or affirmations, which can often be limited. Instead, RTT takes a deeper approach by recording and working with the language of the subconscious mind. Using a client’s own words during the process leads to more profound and lasting change.
Through the use of trance, regression, and hypnotic conditioning, RTT achieves transformative effects on clients. It is a holistic therapy that adapts to the unique needs of each client to create an individualized approach.
I have been personally trained in the UK with Marisa Peer and her team.
